Founded in 1969 on a smallholding with a few animals, the original concept of the park was a place where kids could come into contact with and feed the livestock. We now welcome 250,000 visitors every year, who come to see over 700 animals and birds, ranging from meerkats to sea lions and beavers. Giraffes, lions, zebra, camels and lots of different kinds of monkeys and apes – Jyllands Park Zoo has everything belonging to a modern zoo. Many of our animals can be fed with special foods available from our own kiosks, and there is a special play enclosure with young animals for the kids to pet and play with.
Children can also enjoy our own mini-amusement park, or Denmark's biggest bouncing cushion of a massive 689 m². The park has covered eating facilities for over 850 guests to enjoy their own picnics, and BBQ grills are available for use free of charge. For those who prefer their food prepared by someone else, there is a top class cafeteria and snacks available from the kiosks.
Entertaining sea lions Every day (except Fridays) our sea lions provide entertainment with juggling tricks and acrobatics from the pool side. The ideal day out for the entire family. We and all our animals look forward to seeing you!
